I told you there was a reason not to get too close. She's my friend, Michael! You're asking me to go back to my friend, a woman I tried on *bathing suits* with for God's sake, a- an- and *blackmail* her into giving you documents? Especially when someone introduces himself by firebombing a hotel room. Whatever the method, that first contact tells you a lot about a person. In the world of espionage, there are a lot of ways to introduce yourself: you can use official channels you can use a cover I.D. He said you would be 6'1", exquisitely dressed, with impeccable posture. Of course, when the hotel clerk turns out to be expecting you, that makes things a little easier. friend of mine was staying at the hotel and, uh, we were supposed to hook up. One whiff that you're snooping and you'll just hear a lot of, "We can't give out that information." You need to get them on your side, convince them that you're someone who needs customer service. Getting information out of hotels requires a delicate touch. Of course, that last one can be a disadvantage as well. Doing your own field medicine has its advantages: no conversations with the police, the food's better, and relationship between patient and caregiver is very close. You have the sewing skills of an orangutan! I will "do some serious damage" to you when this is over, I promise you that, Michael Westen. Now *stop moving* or you're going to do some serious damage. I'm not the one who tore your stitches out second week in a row. Bottom line: as long as you're burned, you're not going anywhere. and a down-and-out spy you met along the way. and old friend who used to inform on you to the FBI. You rely on anyone who's still talking to you: Bottom line: until you figure out who burned you, you're not going anywhere. You know spies: bunch of bitchy little girls.

You're stuck in whatever city they decide to dump you in. When you're burned, you've got nothing: no cash, no credit, no job history. I'd highly recommend the show for those who like a mix of comedy and espionage. My name is Michael Westen. (For those who haven't seen the show or the commercials a 'burn notice' is when a spy is cut off, no jobs, nothing.) Donovan's acerbic delivery and amusing narration pull the show together, and his on-screen chemistry with acting veteran Bruce Campbell really keep the laughs coming. Jeffery Donovan leads a very talented cast as the 'burned' spy-turned-private-eye Michael Westen, a man just trying to figure out why someone would put a 'burn notice' out on him. After sifting through the various MythBusters episodes and my regularly recorded series', I came across something that had me utterly confused, "'Burn Notice'? The hell?" I hadn't heard anything about the show, so I thought, "Screw it, I'm bored, let's see if I can't squeeze some water from a stone." I can honestly say, I'm utterly impressed with the show.

Last week Thursday was one of those days: The kind that gives you the choice of staring at the ceiling, or perusing your DVR in hopes of finding something worthwhile (but rarely finding anything). Michael Westen: Bottom line? Until you figure out who burned you. Madeline Westen: Someone needs your help, Michael! Michael Westen: An old friend who used to inform on you to the FBI. Michael Westen: You do whatever work comes your way. Michael Westen: When you're burned, you've got nothing: no cash, no credit, no job history. Voice on phone: We got a burn notice on you. Michael Westen: My name is Michael Westen.
